Nancy O'Dell's initial work in the industry of broadcast was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding the cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with an award for the Best Report of the year award for the entire South Carolina media. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-shows and arrivals shows to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
